GE To Choose 40 Students for SU's Leadership at Work Series

Image via Syr.edu/Syracuse UniversityAn original partnership between GE and the Center for Career Services at Syracuse University (Syracuse, New York, USA) has created an innovative leadership development series entitled "Leadership at Work."

This four session series (2/4 (evening), 2/5 (evening), 2/19 (evening), 2/20 (day) will include leadership development sessions on Facilitation Skills, Social Styles, Teams, Team Building, and Presentation Skills and will be taught by GE leaders.

Each evening session (2/4, 2/5 & 2/19), will run from 5:30-9:00pm. The Saturday session (2/20) will run from 8:30am~3:00pm. All sessions will provide meals and dress is business casual. The series will culminate with a certificate of completion and a graduation.

There is a difference between doing things right and doing the right things.

Students at Syracuse University often get involved with leadership opportunities in order to do the right things. They become excellent student leaders who embrace the idea of change leadership and make enormous contributions to the Syracuse University campus.

The void is determining how to translate that experience into succeeding in an increasingly complex and diverse world of work. This year General Electric (GE) plans to help 40 selected students translate their experience into action.

Syracuse University students can apply on OrangeLink until 1/30/2010.
