GE Blue at the Red: IMLP breaks new ground at Cornell

I was recently asked to take the role of lead IMLP recruiter for GE at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  Cornell is one of the top schools that GE recruits from, but in the past, students have found it hard to find information about this particular GE leadership program.  Enter Matt Brooks, IMLP and Corporate IT Audit Staff grad, to spread the word about IMLP to the Red.

Cornell has a strong Computer Science (CS) degree program spanning three schools within the university.  Recently, Cornell created a new degree program in Information Science (IS).  This major develops students by showing them how to apply technology to solve business solutions.  Between the traditional, more technical CS degree and the new, IS degree, Cornell has a lot of talent to offer GE’s IMLP.

I will be teaming up with the Information Science Student Association at Cornell, which bridges the gap between these two majors over the next several months to boost GE’s presence as a partner on the campus, in addition to being a key recruiter.  I am excited for this new role and look forward to meeting a lot of great new potential program members.
