GE's iCare Charity Fundraising

Every year, GE sponsors a United Way Employee Giving Campaign.  The GE family contributed over $31 million to more than 450 United Way organizations, placing GE among the top United Way supporters.

As part of the 2009 GE Foundation Food and Shelter initiative, the GE Foundation increased its contributions from 40% to 50% and allocated its donations solely to food, shelter and basic needs.

Each year, GE Healthcare IT hosts an employee giving initiative called iCare.  This week-long event includes an online auction as well as coordinated special events such as a Guitar Hero competition, healthymagination team fitness challenge, and Bungee Basketball.

One of the many great things about working for GE is how the company loves to give back to the local community.   This year was another great success and another year to be proud about helping others.

Thanks for doing this Jeff! iCare is such a great way to get involved and give back to the communities in which we work and live. I hope that even more IMLPs will participate next year!
