A Day in the Life of an IMLP: IBM Proof of Technology

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to travel to Hartford, CT and attend an IBM Proof of Technology demonstration for their Content Manager OnDemand solution.  The proof of technology demonstration IBM provided was a basic, hands-on introduction to the capabilities of their product.  They walked us through several "labs" including how to upload data, schedule automatic uploads, build reports, send reports, and even mine the reports or documents for data.  It was a great opportunity to understand some of the technology available through IBM and see where our business might be able to leverage it.

It was definitely a very exciting learning experience.  I was by far the youngest person in attendance at the demo.  The majority of people in attendance were in their thirties and forties.  They were generally senior managers, in companies such as Verizon and Fidelity Investments, who currently used or were about to use Content Manager OnDemand.  It was very interesting to hear their experiences and get first hand reviews of the product.

As I have come to learn in my first rotation as an IMLP, this is just another day on the job as an IMLP.  Next step: IBM WebSphere demo
