Turbines & Power Plants, Oh My!

Power Station in Mulberry, FL."]IMLP Alana Edmunds at the Polk Power Plant in Florida
On October 15th, I was given the opportunity to get "up close and personal" with some of our turbines.

Accompanied by my AL (Assignment Leader), I flew into Tampa and drove to the small town of Mulberry, Florida to gain a better pespective on plant operations and how GE Field Engineers interact with technology on site, since my 1st rotation is focused on asset managment and productivity strategies and solutions.

While on site, I went on a tour of the power plant and watched skilled workers complete routine maintenance on amazing (and huge!) machinery. This photo was taken by the lead field engineer on site- don't try this at home!
